Drive the Motors

Take direct control of the two drive motors using speed values from -100 to 100. Spin them forward, backward, and at different speeds to understand how motor speed works.

Connect your board

Power on your Beaver Board — the OLED will show a PIN code. Click Connect in the toolbar, choose Connect via Bluetooth, and select your board. If it's your first time, enter the PIN shown on the screen.

The two drive motors connect to the DRV8833 driver on GP8–GP11. Place the robot on the floor before running — wheels spin immediately.

Place your robot on the floor or lift it off the desk so the wheels spin freely. Do not run motors while the board is perched on the edge of a table.
